Letter from the Executive Director

Dear Reader:
The Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments prepared the 2011 Statistical Abstract as a service to counties, municipalities, and other groups in the four county region we serve. This is the 24th revision of the Abstract.
The information is gleaned from a variety of sources. It is intended to provide a reference for economic development, infrastructure design, grant applications, and community research. We are grateful to the Economic Development Administration and the State Grant-in-Aid for funding this important publication.
We would like to thank the other organizations and individuals who contributed their time and information to make this publication possible.
